Dear Greater China Business Club of Stanford GSB:

Greetings from Asia.

By way of brief introduction, Baring Private Equity Asia is a regional Asia PE fund with US$ 2.5 billion under management. Our primary geographic focus is Greater China where we have invested in over +25 companies through buyout and growth equity transactions. We raised our latest fund, Fund IV, and closed the fund in May 2008 with US$ 1.5 billion. We are active across different industries and sectors, but do not invest in real estate, and are actively investing into the region.

We are looking for candidates for our Summer 2010 Summer Associate program based in Shanghai, Beijing, or Hong Kong. Suitable candidates would be fluent in both spoken and written Chinese, and have had prior experience working in Greater China. Prior private equity, investment banking, consulting, and/or operational experience with exposure to Greater China would be a plus.
